A BASINGSTOKE-based company has gone from struggling to compete to leading the way in its field.

Selectec, based at the Basepoint Enterprise Centre, in Stroudley Road, features in the 2018 edition of The Parliamentary Review as an example of best practice and innovation in the business world

In 2007, Selectec was a small manufacturing company struggling to compete but is now a specialist software distributor recognised in the 2017 Financial Times FT 1000 list of Europe's fastest growing companies.

In the Review piece, firm chiefs outline the company's rise to prominence during the digital revolution, their three-point strategy for reinvention in a new IT world, and their increasingly global footprint.

Paul Weston, Selectec managing director, said: "Our success is entirely down to our staff. As Steve Jobs said “Great things in business are never done by one person. They’re done by a team of people.""

Review chairmen Lord Blunkett and Lord Pickles, alongside prime minister Theresa May, select organisations from across the country to featured as leaders in their field, offering advice for businesses and educators both old and new.
