There will be three new prizes up for grabs at this year’s Inspire Business Awards.

The annual awards ceremony celebrates the best of business across Hampshire will this year celebrate digital, environmental and hospitality initiatives.

The three new awards for the 2019 event are for Environmental Responsibility, Hospitality Business of the Year and Excellence in Digital Technology.

Sponsors of the Excellence in Digital Technology award, Juniper Research, were previous finalist for the International Business of the Year award.

CEO of the digital research, forecasting and consultancy firm, Tony Crabtree, said: “We are passionate about digital technology and want to promote business across the county who come up with innovative ideas.

“We will be looking for businesses who can come up with unique solutions and something that will catch our attention.”

For the Hospitality Business of the Year, the award is open to businesses who demonstrate a strong business model, excellent customer service and continued investment in the region.

Director of Minuteman Press, which is sponsoring the award, Susan Paterson, said: “My background is actually in the food world, so I am very interested to see what the hospitality sector has to offer.

“Hampshire has a lot to offer so it will be interesting to see what the businesses who are put forward have been doing an how they go about the running of their businesses to provide the best hospitality.”

The third new gong, the Environmental Responsibility award will be sponsored by fresh produce supplier Vitacress.

The Inspire Business Awards will once again be held at the Hampshire Court Hotel, on November 21.

The awards are run by Destination Basingstoke and celebrate the success of local business in north Hampshire, from Andover in the west to Farnborough in the east and everywhere in between.
