BUDDING electronics designers and manufacturers will soon be able to put their ambitions into practise as part of a new apprenticeship scheme.
CIL, the Andover-based electronics design and manufacturing company, has set up the scheme in partnership with Vosper Thorneycroft. VT Training' will handle all administration and supervise the training programme in which the students will spend four days a week at CIL's Andover base and one day at Basingstoke College of Technology.
Three students will start the three-year training programme, which is fully funded by CIL, this month. During the formal training period the trainees will spend time in all CIL departments.
John Boston, the firm's MD said: "We are training young people for the future. This scheme will ensure we play an active role in maturing and growing employees who will provide us with the organisational stability we need for continued growth."
