ANDOVER-BASED Snows Timber is the winner of the TTJ Softwood Trader of the Year.
The announcement was made at a glittering presentation at the Park Lane Hotel in London.
The awards are based on the result of a national survey of customers in key timber industries to recognise excellence in service.
And it comes at the end of a year which saw the Andover and Glastonbury-based company make a decisive move into the national market by buying the well known company W J Handrahan & Sons, with depots in Dudley and Mansfield providing truly national coverage and distribution.
Jim Peryer, Snows MD, said: “What is really satisfying about this accolade is the fact that it is the timber trade – our customers – who voted for us and in an age when impersonal service is becoming the norm, our adherence to traditional, personal service and values is rewarded.”
