Andover’s newest networking event, the Andover Breakfast Club was launched by Andover solicitors Bonallack & Bishop at the beginning of Septem-ber, at the Hampshire Golf Club.
The event, supported by local radio station Andover Sound, saw 80 people hear Des Benjamin, chief executive of Simplyhealth Group and project leader of Andover Vision, outline an ambitious future for the town.
The breakfast follows on from the success of Salisbury Breakfast Club, started in April by Bonallack & Bishop. Tim Bishop, Bonallack & Bishop’s senior partner said, “The Salisbury and Andover Breakfast Clubs were started when, having grown tired of the forced formality and minimum attendance requirements at many other breakfast networking events, we decided to set up our own to offer large and small businesses an opportunity to get together every month.
“The breakfasts have been an amazing triumph, with the first Andover breakfast so popular that we needed to set up extra tables. Although we plan to have speakers occasionally, the emphasis is very much on enjoyment and informality to keep a bright modern approach to the meetings.” The club meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 8am until 9 15am.
