ANDOVER-based SSI Scha-efer’s has acquired Sal-omon Automation, highlighting the group’s leading position in the field of warehouse logistics.
Salomon will be an independent member company within the Schaefer Group, with unchanged management.
SSI Schaefer will acquire the entire Salomon Automation group of companies – subject to approval by authorities. Both companies are successful in the market for automated logistics systems.
Two production facilities will support the extended group, one in Graz, Austria and the other in Hranice, Czech Republic, where production focuses on the manufacture of automation components.
With its worldwide distribution and service organisation and an extensive portfolio of product offerings and comprehensive solutions, SSI Schaefer continues to be a future oriented and reliable partner to its customers.
The group has a virtually unlimited value chain allowing it to respond quickly and competently to the changing requirements of the market.
With its WAMAS logistics software and facilities in Austria, Switzerland, Germ-any and Spain, Salomon Automation is a provider of complete systems.
