Owners Comments

Melcombe has been a warm friendly house for my parents who very much enjoyed being part of the village.

This modern home enjoys uninterrupted frontal views over countryside and presents well designed elegantly styled accommodation. There is an open plan kitchen diner with bi fold doors, a separate utility and boot room which lead to the double garage. On the first floor are four well proportioned bedrooms, all with built in wardrobes and two en suites. This is enhanced by high energy efficiency elements including solar panels with a lucrative feed in tariff, underfloor heating to both floors, low energy lighting and double glazing. Melcombe offers an opportunity to enjoy low maintenance living whist experiencing the excellent community spirit of Whiteparish.

A hardwood double glazed door leads to the grand entrance hall which presents stylish doors and engineered wood flooring creating the feeling of space and light whilst leading to the kitchen dining room, lounge and useful cloakroom. The delightful open plan kitchen dining room is dual in aspect, centred upon a Heritage stove which also provides the boiler in addition to cooking facilities, with two sets of bi- folding doors opening onto the sun terrace. The well equipped kitchen comprises an attractive range of cream units with contrasting granite worktops including an island. A range of high quality integrated Miele appliances include electric oven, dishwasher and two ring induction hob, with an additional Neff eye level electric oven and plumbed in American style fridge freezer. The dining area can host a family dining suite whilst the bi folding patio doors allow much natural light and a pleasant outlook across the sun terrace. The kitchen is supplemented by a useful utility room of excellent dimensions housing further storage, plumbing for appliances and access to a boot room. The sitting room is also generous in size, enjoying a fabulous dual aspect including French doors out to the garden. A stylish open fireplace with granite hearth provides an attractive focal point to the room. The study completes the ground floor accommodation. The generous landing provides access to the four large double bedrooms all with fitted wardrobes. The master suite enjoys a bright dual aspect and contemporary en suite shower room with double shower cubicle, low level W/C, wash hand basin and generous vanity storage as with the guest suite, also with ensuite shower room comprising corner shower cubicle. The two further bedrooms are also impressive and are served by the family bathroom.

Melcombe is approached via a shared driveway providing ample parking for two vehicles and access to the double garage with automated roller door and storage above. The garage is supplemented by a workshop. The gardens encompass three sides of the property with a natural divide creating a patio area, formal garden and sun terrace. Although the gardens are modest, in any one dimension the cumulative of the three areas provides a private and pleasant venue for relaxing, entertaining and those who enjoy gardening. There is an external power point and two water taps.
