FOLLOWING his captivating appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, which saw a phenomenal run to the final, 2018 sees Britain’s best loved, and most entertaining, medium take to the stage with his all new ‘Love, Life, Laughter Tour’.

Before his show at The Lights on Friday, 18 May, we caught up with Derek Acorah to find out what he has in store for his Andover Audience.

Derek Acorah has been working with spirits for around 40-years. Although mediumship runs in his family, his first personal experience with the spirit world happened when he was a boy.“I saw a spirit of a man in my gran's house.

“When I saw that very first person it felt so real to me. I could see their features and clothes. It looked solid and tangible.

“It was scary because I thought there was a stranger in my gran's house."

The medium describes his show as “overall a relatively uplifting evening” despite what people may otherwise assume. “There is nothing morbid about the evening. A sense of healing takes place which can help bring a sense of closure.”

During his live show, Derek connects with the deceased loved ones of audience members.

“Sometimes loved ones characters really come through. They'll [audience members] jump out their seat saying that's just like him/her!”

“We do get sceptical minded people.

“You wanna see the change in a sceptic when their loved one comes through.

“You get people who say I didn't want to come tonight but were pressured to come. They say I'm going out of here with a changed mind."

He insists: “If you don't go and experience it, you can't make a true judgement.

“If a person is not ready to accept this truth, I let them get on with their lives.

“I’m not one to force it down their throats."

Derek faces an ongoing battle after his reputation was tarnished by claims he is a fake, which happened after a falling out with the producers of Living TV’s Most Haunted.

Living TV gave Derek his own show, Ghost Tales which he believed led to falsified claims that he is a fraud.

“Most Haunted was their [Living TV's] flagship show, but it was only one series before my show caught up with their viewing figures.

“The truth is they [the producers] set this up because they didn't want my programme to beat theirs.

“I couldn't say anything for four or five years as I had to sign a confidentiality contract. I couldn't say anything negative about the team or programme. It's frustrating it hasn't gone viral, the real truth.

“The world will see in my autobiography. It’s Not far off being done. I reckon it will be no more than three months until the book's launch.

“The world will be shocked.”
