A MODERN classic of musical theatre will make its return to Rhyl next year with a new face.

Les Musicals, which lit up the Pavilion stage last June, will see 2011 Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) winner Jai McDowall take the mic from X Factor star Rhydian Roberts for another spellbinding evening of showstoppers with G4’s Jonathan Ansell.

Back by popular demand, the show – which is in it’s second year - will see the pair have joined forces to create a dramatic a spine-tingling concert. This vocally dynamic evening showcases even more smash-hit songs from the greatest musicals of all time, brought to you by two of the world’s finest voices.

Fans of the West End and Broadway can immerse themselves into the world of musical theatre with classics from Les Miserables, Phantom Of The Opera, Blood Brothers, Wicked, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Greatest Showman, Miss Saigon, Chess, We Will Rock You and many more.

Winner of the fifth series of BGT in 2011, Scottish singer McDowall wowed audiences with his rendition of Josh Groban’s To Where You Are, releasing debut album Believe later that year.

Joining the star is 2004 X Factor contestant Ansell, who finished in second place with his already fully formed pop-opera boyband G4, going on to sell more than 1.5 million albums in the UK and completing five staggering sell-out tours.

Not content to rejuvenate interest in the opera classics, Ansell has also enjoyed a successful solo career.

Having debuted on the stage in Whistle Down The Wind, he played the lead in the UK tour of Beauty and the Beast and even returned to reality television by competing in ITV’s Superstar, finishing second in the bid for the lead role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar.

After sell-out shows in 2018, this is certainly a concert not to be missed.
