THREE Irish and Scottish painters will be exhibiting at Courcoux & Courcoux Contemporary Art, in Stockbridge, from Saturday, 6 September.

Margaret Egan and Victor Richardson are two of Ireland’s leading painters, while Gail Pope is a highly respected artist from north of the border.

Egan and Pope have shown with the gallery before and their landscapes and still life paintings are in demand.

From her studio overlooking Dublin Bay, Margaret paints scenes which are quintessentially Irish.

Gail, on the other hand, produces a very limited amount of work as she painstakingly works on her exquisite still life works.

Victor Richardson is showing with the gallery for the first time, with his vibrant and highly-distinctive paintings.

From his County Cork studio, he works in the neo-impressionist tradition.

He has exhibited all over the world and completed a major commission of six large paintings for the newly-refurbished worldfamous Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin.

Victor explores the colour vibration pioneered by the likes of Seurat and Signac over a century ago.

The juxtaposition of the colours in the air and on the surface of the water provides a constant source of creativity in his pursuit of the art of tranquillity.

The exhibition will continue until 27 September and is open from Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 5pm, and 11am to 4pm on Saturdays.

Prices range from £1,000 to £16,000. For more information, contact the gallery at courcoux@courVictor Richardson’s Sunlight on the Marais coux. co.uk or call 01264 810717.
