AROUND 110 jobs are set to be axed as a long-standing Test Valley firm announces its imminent closure.

Esterline Wallop Defence Systems made the announcement this week that approximately 70 employees will work on the site for the last time just ahead of Christmas (December 23), while the remaining workforce of around 40 will continue to work into the New Year until the site finally closes.
