A PREVALENT Andover thief has been jailed again following a catalogue of thefts and assault.
Steven Anthony Allen was jailed for a total of 26 weeks when he appeared before magistrates in Basingstoke last week.
The 26-year-old, of Kennet Court, Andover, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer on Cricketers Way last month and a community support officer at Anton Lakes.
Allen also admitted to stealing a Christmas tree from Tesco worth £60, a sub box to the value of £169 belonging to Halfords, a bum bag from a person in Waterloo Court containing £20 and X-Box accessories from Game in The Chantry Centre worth £24.99.
During the hearing last Tuesday, magistrates revoked a community order issued in October and ordered Allen to pay £75 compensation and criminal courts charges of £180.
