POLICE are appealing for information after a horse box, believed to be worth over £2,000, was stolen from a stable near Andover.

Thieves broke into the stable, on Broad Road, Monxton, between the evening of Thursday 30 April and the morning of Saturday 1 May to steal the red and white coloured Ifor Williams 505 trailer.

Similar models are currently selling on auction website Ebay for around £2,200.

The trailer, which is similar to the one pictured, also contained around £300 of new mats.

Thieves cut off a wheel clamp in order to steal the trailer from the stable.

The trailer had the number plate KW04NAG, however police say it is likely that this will have been removed.

The serial number for the trailer is 5006642 and the draw bar code is 5-59750.

Police are urging people in the area to look out for the trailer, which they believe may be hidden away.

They are also urging anyone offered a trailer matching the description to call 101 quoting: 44160163407.
