A CAMPAIGN to raise money for an epileptic toddler is holding a musical fundraiser this Sunday.

One-year-old Harry Mcdonald hasn’t had an easy first year in life.

He has epilepsy, visual impairment due to congenital nystagmus, suspected autism, development delay and possible hearing loss in his left ear.

Due to Harry’s difficulties, his mother Jade has set up a Go Fund Me page to raise £2,500 to buy a disability cot, to provide Harry with a safe sleeping space.

The family has raised over £900 so far, but town councillor Andi Dawson was inspired to help raise more.

Cllr Dawson said: “I know the items needed are not cheap and, although the Go Fund Me campaign Harry’s mother set up was met with some level of success, I wanted to help too.

“After 20 years of working in the music industry I felt I was in a strong position to assist with a one day music festival.

“Shawn at the Crown Inn, Ludgershall, has been amazing in assisting me with this and together we have a full, fun packed day for all ages.

“It is my hope that the day makes up the rest of the money needed whilst allowing the local community to have a good day out at the same time.

The event named ‘Crowntastic Fundraiser’ is taking place on Sunday at the High Street pub and will run from 3pm until 1am.

Various live music acts are performing throughout the day, showcasing local talent.

There will also be various outdoor activities, a family karaoke, a clay pizza oven and ice-cream.

If the fundraiser is a success, any additional amounts raised will be donated to the Young Epilepsy charity.
