MAGISTRATES have handed a motorist a 36-month ban after he was caught over the drink drive limit.
Mark Riley of Appleshaw Way, Perham Down, was stopped by police on the A342 on May 23.
On August 9, the 37-year-old pleaded guilty to drink driving at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
The court heard that Riley was driving his Grey Renault Megane in Weyhill when he was caught.
A blood test was done and it was found he had 140 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood – the legal limit is 80.
Riley was disqualified for 36 months and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £30 victim surcharge.
