A WALK along the Test Way trail is being held in aid of Parkinson’s UK charity.

The Rotary Club of Romsey Test is hosting the trail, which encompasses five different walks ranging from five miles to 25.5 miles on October 14.

Parkinson’s UK mission is to fund a cure for the disease, and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s through research, information, support and campaigning.

Keen walker Margaret Duncan took park in the Test Way event last year, and is encouraging others to sign up to the fundraiser.

Margaret walked the 25.5 mile route raising £1,600 for charity.

She said: “The walk was fantastic and very well organised by the Rotary Club. There was also some beautiful scenery along the way.

“I took part in the event as I wanted a personal challenge to prepare for and fulfil. I fundraised for Parkinson’s UK because my husband has Parkinson’s.

“The condition has a huge impact on his life, for example his mobility is really affected and he has a tremor.

“The charity does a brilliant job at supporting people with Parkinson’s like my husband and I’d encourage others to sign up and walk for this great cause.”
