FROM pet food to martial arts, businesses’ stalls lined High Street to showcase what they have to offer on Friday.

Andover Business Fair took over the town centre from 10am to 3pm in an event put on by Test Valley Borough Council and Andover Vision.

The day aimed to give businesses a chance to reach out to new audiences and have a presence in the town.

Among the stalls were community interest group Our Andover, Martial Art World, Swedish pet food Husse, employment agency Active Staff, Andover Nursing Home, The Lights theatre and lawn care company Greensleaves.

Our Andover was promoting events around the town, including its newly launched Chatty Café scheme to bring isolated people together.

Sean Caruana was one budding entrepreneur who used the event to boost his new business The Lifestyle Card, which gives discount for more than 80 shops, restaurants, services and more in Andover and surrounding areas.

He has been working on the start-up for around four months having previously worked in human resources and senior management for 30 years.

Rob Jones, Husse pet nutritionist, also enjoyed the day.

He said on the day: “I’m enjoying it and had a few people come along, quite a few.

“We have got busier towards lunch.”
