KNIGHTS Enham Nursery and Infants has started the new school year by welcoming a new leader.

Claire Beazley has joined the school as headteacher after the dissolving of the Discovery Federation in July and interim executive headteacher Sarah Jones vacating the role.

Miss Beazley had previously worked at an infant and nursery school in Wiltshire for five years, along with being a school leader in Hampshire.

“I’m delighted to be joining Knights Enham Nursery and Infants as there is a huge amount to celebrate at our school. My priorities as headteacher are children’s wellbeing and their individual learning, “ Miss Beazley said.

“I’ve found children to be enthusiastic and ready to learn because of the experienced and dedicated staff team who work hard to provide the best for all.”

Of her action list, Miss Beazley said her first priority will be getting to know the children and parents, and she will be found on the school’s gate at the start and end of the day.

“It’s good to see all learners quickly getting into the routine of a school day and especially our youngest learners aged two and three-years-old in the nursery.”

Miss Beazley said she is also keen on continuing the work highlighted by Ofsted, which said staff were committed to their own development.

She added: “This is important to me as I want to work with professionals who are keen to continue to learn so that we can be the very best we can be. I’m excited to be working with a team of professionals who so obviously reflect the school’s vision of ‘children at the heart of everything we do’.”
