A POSTPONED annual fun day at a school in Sherfield-on-Loddon has raised cash for charity.
On Saturday, Sherfield School once again hosted its Family Fun Day for the benefit of the school and the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust.
It was postponed from the previous weekend due to the weather conditions, but that did not stop people coming out in full force to support the event as the rescheduling proved to be the correct move with the sun shining all day on Sunday.
More than £1,500 was raised in total from the day for the various causes.
There was an array of activities on offer, with rides, stalls and attractions, but this year’s highlights included donkey rides and reptile handling, which featured a giant snake.
This was all topped off with live music from Sherfield students past and present.
The highly contested tug-of-war race was once again won by Loddon HHouse, one of the school’s house teams.
