THREE further arrests have been made in an investigation into an attempted murder.

Police were called to the underground car park area of the Crown Heights apartment complex, in Alencon Link, at 1.50pm on October 3 after reports of a woman being found in the area.

The 44-year-old woman was taken to Southampton General Hospital in a critical condition. She remains in hospital.

In carrying out their investigations, officers arrested a 43-year-old man, a 44-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, all from Basingstoke, all on suspicion of attempted murder.

They have since been released from custody but remain under investigation.

As previously reported in The Gazette, a 33-year-old man from Berkshire was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has also been released from police custody but remains under investigation.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened in Crown Heights, or who has any information that may be useful to our investigation.”
