A BABY from Andover has landed a part in a national campaign advert raising awareness of Alzheimer’s.

Seven-month-old Isla Wall features in the 30-second Alzheimer’s Research UK ‘We will #MakeBreakthroughsPossible advert which aired on September 20.

The ad shows Isla, along with other babies floating in water showing their natural instinct to survive, while demonstrating the mission of the organisation.

Proud mum Danielle said: “She is with an agency who sent out a job for babies who do water babies and Isla has been doing that since she was eight weeks old I put her forward for it and it went from there.”

Isla was chosen for the part, along with a set of twins, to fill the roles before filming The Underwater Studio, in Essex, where the likes of Tom Hardy have taken to the pool.

“On the first day Isla was really happy, she went into the massive tank and they filmed her hand as that’s what they wanted on the first day,” Danielle said.

“Then on the second day they filmed her swimming, with the help of water babies teacher, she was very happy and they [the producers] managed to get all the main big shots done and were impressed with her.”

Danielle said that she was shown the footage and could not believe how well Isla had carried out her role.

“They showed me the shots back and I was shocked, I didn’t realise she could do the moves that good.”

And Danielle said that when the advert aired her friends and family showed their support in Isla’s debut.

“The advert was really amazing, everyone was ringing me and was saying ‘I’ve just seen Isla, I can’t believe they actually showed her swimming and how good she was’.”
