Arrest made of Andover man on suspicion of child sex offences
AN ANDOVER man has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences.
Police were called out to Salisbury Road on Friday at around 12.30pm after a call from a member of the public.
A 29-year-old man from Andover was arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause a child to watch/look at an image of sexual activity, and causing/inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity.
The call to the police came from a member of an online group of so-called 'paedophile hunters' who also filmed their encounter with the man before posting it on social media.
The man has been released from police custody but remains under investigation.
Enquiries are ongoing.
