A MOTORCYLIST who hit a pedestrian in Andover has admitted to causing death by careless driving.
William Hatherall, 48, of Cobb Drive, Andover, was struck in New Street at around 11pm on Sunday, October 14.
Yesterday (Thursday) Darren Lampard, of Hogarth Court, Andover, appeared at Winchester Crown Court.
The 52-year-old also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
Lampard has been released on bail to be sentenced at the same court on December 21.
Following his death, Mr Hatherall’s family paid tribute to him, saying: “He was an amazing person who packed a huge amount of life experiences into his 48 years. A bit of a party animal, he was a well-known character around the Andover area; loved by all who knew him.”
