IT’S time to party as a new store has opened its doors in Overton, filled with celebration essentials for all occasions.

The Party Booth opened for business on Saturday, 1 December as Danielle Savine decided to take her home business, based in her garden’s summer house, to the next level.

From helium balloons to tableware and Christmas decorations, the 26-year-old was pleased the store on Overton High Street was well received at the launch event.

Danielle said: “It was really busy, we had the Christmas market in the village on Saturday so a lot of people were around, it was really good.

“I set up a shop at home and it took off quite quickly, I got lots of orders and this opening came up and I thought ‘should I go for it?’ If I didn’t, I would regret it.

“I’m really looking forward to it, it [the shop] shows my personality a bit too. I’m on the go 24/7 and this is going to pull me in so many directions.”

The former coffee shop manager aims to fill the boutique-style store with all the latest decoration trends such as balloons with tassels, and add cards and fancy dress hire in the coming months.

But Danielle’s favourite occasion is weddings, having coordinated and decorated her own in a French chateau this summer, with decorations she drove over in a campervan.

Husband Matthew has been on hand to help with setting up the shop, as Danielle had only eight days to get the booth ready in time for the big opening.

The Red Lion Lane resident added: “I’m a nervous wreck and he’s blowing up balloons and loving life.

“We did a lot of renovating. We did new walls, kitchen area, a new toilet in eight days so it was open for Christmas markets.”

Danielle hopes the store’s success will grow eventually to a bigger store, and multiple branches in future.
