WASHING powder and a pair of sunglasses were among stolen items returned to stores as police crackdown on seasonal shoplifting.
Two men were stopped and searched in Andover town centre at around 4pm on Tuesday, December 11, as part of the police's campaign 'Operation Scrooge' to target shoplifting in the run up to Christmas.
Items stolen from Wilko, Poundland and Animal were returned to the stores.
Police say enquiries into the thefts are ongoing.
