THEATRE audiences have helped raise money for an Andover hospice.

Andover Musical Theatre Company’s latest production, Legally Blonde, entertained crowds at The Lights in November. However, it was not just the roof they were raising.

The company was collecting money for The Countess of Brecknock Hospice, which provides end-of-life care in Andover.

Over the four nights of the production, the company raised £567.82.

On Tuesday, December 4, members from the company, Becky Rungen and Liz Hood, presented the cheque to matron, Sarah McGaughey, and trust director, Michele Gard.

A spokesperson for the company said: “The hospice is a cause close to the hearts of many of the society’s members and raising money for such a worthy cause was important to them.

“Congratulations to all involved and a huge thank you to everybody who donated at the performances.”
