A MAN was held up at knifepoint as three others threatened and attempted to rob him.

The victim, a 23-year-old man, is said to have been stopped by three men, with one of them holding a knife.

The men demanded that the victim hand over his belongings before he ran away.

A police spokesman said that no-one was injured during the incident and nothing was taken.

He added that enquiries are ongoing.

The attempted robbery took place on the footpath between The Folly pub and Travis Perkins, near Charlton Road at 5.34pm on Friday, December 21.
