FRIENDS and family of Endeavour Primary School were delighted with a concert of Christmas carols earlier this month.
On December 12 the school’s choir held a special performance to spread some Christmas cheer.
Local community, family and friends were invited to to listen at the Carols by Candlelight event that took place in the open-air at the front of the school building, with hot sausage rolls and hot chocolate, donated by the school kitchen.
Alex White, teacher and leader of the Endeavour Ensemble Choir said: “This was the Choir’s first full performance to family and friends and we have been practicing for the last few weeks. The children have worked so hard through their lunchtimes and they all sang fantastically.”
The school’s musical celebrations did not end there as Year 3 children held a brand band concert on December 18 to showcase their skills.
During the autumn term the children have been learning about brass instruments, how to play them and how to read music, with Hampshire Music Service providing the lessons on how to play them and read music.
