Plans triggered to help rough sleepers in severe weather
AS THE temperatures drop to below freezing, the severe weather emergency protocol for homeless people has been activated in Test Valley.
The borough council issued the protocol as the temperatures are predicted to stay cold until at least Saturday.
The scheme comes into effect during a period of extreme weather.
In Andover Two Saints Direct Access Hostel will provide a bed and food for anyone sleeping rough.
The Bridge is also running a night drop-in service from 7pm to 10pm, with hotel meals and washing facilities provided.
