A CHILDREN’S day nursery has received a cash boost from the borough council.

Stephanie Pledge, owner of Blooming Kids Day Nursery, was handed £750 as part of Test Valley Borough Council’s Business Incentive Grant scheme which supports new start-ups.

The nursery based at The Wellington Centre, in Winchester Street, looks after children under five-years-old in term time and under eight-years-old in the school holidays.

Stephanie, who has 15 years experience in childcare, said: “I am passionate about achieving a fun and encouraging environment for children to learn in Andover. I am thrilled that the council has offered its support with the launch of Blooming Kids Day Nursery.”

The nursery founder also offers flexible start and finish times to reflect the needs of military personnel, or those who work shifts.

Test Valley Borough Council Councillor Jan Budzynski said: “It is clear that Stephanie has worked very hard to launch her new business, using her experience and further research into new practices to bring an individualised approach to children’s’ learning.

“I hope the business continues to do well and wish her all the best.”

The council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant will receive £750 if their business is going strong six months later.
