A “SUDDEN rise” in reports of car thefts have prompted extra patrols in two villages.
Officers have said that there has been an increase in vehicles being stolen or broken into in and around Grateley, including the train station, and Palestine.
Following the rise police are now carrying out extra patrols in the area as enquiries are ongoing to trace the offenders.
Drivers are now being warned not to leave any valuables or personal items on display in their vehicles, including low value items, and to lock and secure vehicles.
Anyone with information should call police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
