HAMPSHIRE’s history will be brought to life in a new play sponsored by the borough’s art foundation.
Test Valley Arts Foundation (TVAF) has given its backing to a production by award-winning local playwright Roy Chatfield.
His previous work in 2016, And Now We Tell Our Tale, brought Andover’s history to life and has now been performed three times at The Lights.
Roy’s latest production, It Happened in Hampshire, will be performed by three professional actors, looking at some of the county’s long and varied history.
As part of TVAF’s mission to engage the community with the arts, this play is being performed in several primary and secondary schools in Andover during the first two weeks of February.
These performances have been sponsored by BeWiser, Hampshire County Council and Test Valley Borough Council. Other support has come from The Lights who will host a performance on Tuesday, February 5, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available on thelights.org.uk/booking.
