A MAN was spotted sitting on the edge of the Chantry Centre multi-storey car park, prompting police action.
Emergency services were called to the car park, in Waterloo Court, at 8.15am today (Tuesday) after police received a report of concern for the man's welfare.
Officers attended the scene and spoke with the man.
Paramedics were also called to the incident and the man was taken to Basingstoke hospital.
As emergency services attended the entrance to Waterloo Court was blocked by a police car. The entrance was re-opened at about 8.45am.
