A PUB quiz will launch the Basingstoke branch of a political party.

The Women’s Equality Party (WE) has gained 45,000 members nationwide since its formation in 2015, and there are already over 70 registered WE members already in Basingstoke and the surrounding areas.

This event will be the first get-together since Stacy Hart became branch with supporters and members invited to form a unified voice on feminism and equality for all.

Stacy said: “I’m very excited to be starting this Basingstoke branch of the Women’s Equality Party.

“I joined WE because of their focus, their passion for change and inclusivity, and their commitment to working across party divides to achieve the equality that women sorely lack.

“I want WE Basingstoke to be a vibrant, diverse, fun group that works in tandem with all sections of Basingstoke society to grapple with these issues, because when women fulfil their potential, everyone benefits.”

The launch event will be on Saturday, 2 March at the Proteus Creation Space, in Council Road.

Tickets to the launch event are limited.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite or by contacting Stacy on basingstoke@womensequality.org.uk which is also the email address for more information.
