A SCHEME vying to help Andover thrive has had its 200th business racing to sign up.

Sean Caruana created The Lifestyle Card just six months ago and now he has many companies in the town and the surrounding area signed up to offer discounts and incentives.

Thruxton Motorsport Centre has given its backing to be involved, with discounts available to card holders.

Speaking of the latest associate, Mr Caruana said: “We are thrilled to have Thruxton Motorsport Centre participating and would encourage local residents to look at their website to see what amazing experiences are on their doorstep. This fantastic venue celebrated 50 years in business last year.”

Thruxton marketing manager Ben Norton added: “We’re pleased to add our name to the list of local businesses supporting the lifestyle card. We look forward to welcoming people to Thruxton Race Circuit in 2019.”

And more businesses are signing up to offer discounts, with one lucky customer of Twenty5, the new ice cream parlour, winning a card.

One-hundredth customer Jenny Noakes was surprised to receive the card as she went to enjoy a sweet treat.

Mr Caruana said: “It only took a couple of hours to reach 100 customers, it was very busy and a buzzing atmosphere inside.

“It was great to see the positivity and support from local people who were keen to try out all the fantastic deserts, gelato and coffee on offer. We are delighted that they are offering our Lifestyle members 10 per cent off and would definitely encourage trying it out.”
