A KEEN volunteer, supporter and resident at Enham Trust has completed an eight-hour music fundraiser.
'Disco Pete' undertook the Music-A-Thon on-site at the Enham Trust’s Café, charging 50p per song request to raise funds for an activities group held at the charity, which is funded solely by kind donations.
The event raised £1,297.83 overall, with sponsorship.
The group provides health and wellbeing activities for disabled people such as arts, crafts, drama, sports and more.
Pete said of the event; “A lot of people donated more than 50p a song which is really generous. The Music-A-thon went so well and there was a wide variety of music genres played over the day. I’m keen to hold another event in the future and raise more money for the activity group.”
Kerrie Morley, income generation coordinator, added: “We are so grateful to Pete for holding his fundraiser for us.
"The money raised from this event is vital as our activities group relies solely on kind donations and fundraisers like this.
"I would like to thank Pete for raising such an amazing amount and the generosity of friends, family and supporters; this will be spent on buying more equipment and materials for the group.”
