A SCHEME vying to boost the town centre and surrounding area has been given the backing of a MP.

Kit Malthouse, MP for North West Hampshire, has given his support to The Lifestyle Card.

The backing comes as card bosses signed up Simplyhealth to offer a new incentive of two months of free cover when purchasing selected plans.

Mr Malthouse said: “It was fantastic meeting the Lifestyle Card team in Andover recently. This initiative allows companies to obtain rewards for their employees at local shops and venues, benefiting both our hard-working community and boosting local business at the same time. Modern life can be stressful so I’m extremely pleased this scheme enables workers access to cheaper health and wellbeing services, helping to keep the community in good mental and physical shape.”

The card was launched last year by Sean and Fiona Caruana.

The pair said: “We have been very fortunate with the support shown by Simplyhealth who have already distributed The Lifestyle Card to their employees, in the quest to help generate the town and support local businesses.”

“This great incentive plus the array of discounts from our health and wellbeing partners ties in with our vision to offer our members more affordable opportunities to meet their health needs.”
