FIREFIGHTERS are urging people to know where their children are after spending the evening tackling nuisance fires putting a strain on resources.
Crews at Bolton North Fire Station tackled a number of fires in the open, thought to have been deliberately started by kids.
They were called to a rubbish fire on land off Moss Lea at 7pm after which they were called to a similar fire off Bury Road, Breightmet and a skip fire nearby on land off Somerton Road.
Firefighter James Bracegirdle said: "We are urging parents to ensure they know where their kids are and what they are doing.
"Fires like this put pressure on resources and leave us unable to attend if there is an emergency."
Crews spent just under half-an-hour on each small fire.
