A TOWN centre café will be closing its doors, but not before introducing new musical talent for one last time.
After years of trading in the High Street, Butters café will shut, but no date has yet to be officially announced.
The revelation that the vintage-inspired eatery will close was revealed on social media on Wednesday.
Screengrabs from Andover BID - The Truth Facebook page, with Butters owner Stuart Blake commenting about the situation.
Owner Stuart Blake was contacted by the Advertiser ahead of publication of the story and responded:
Over the years Butters has hosted many open mic nights to give up-and-coming talent a space to perform, and have hosted fundraising events for special causes.
Butters has confirmed that it will host a special open mic night shortly.
Television talent show The Voice will come to the café on April 30 from 6pm to 11pm, to give people a chance to appear on the programme.
Artists are asked to prepare one song with a backing track.
To book a slot, call 01264 323583. Positions are limited.
The café also has a number of open mic nights and performances over the coming weeks and months.
