YOUNG girls have been approached by a man in two “concerning incidents” at Tidworth Leisure Centre.

Police are currently investigating two separate “suspicious incidents” at the Nadder Road facility reported to them on Wednesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 2.

The man is described as black, aged around 30-years-old, and was wearing a pink top with red long-sleeved top underneath, and blue shorts during the Wednesday incident.

PC Lucy Wileman, community co-ordinator for Wiltshire South Community Policing Team, said: “These are obviously concerning incidents.

“Although no one was injured in any way, these girls were approached by a man who was acting inappropriately, and this has caused them to feel uncomfortable.

“We are taking these reports seriously and we are carrying out enquiries.

“We are aware that there have been posts on social media and we would advise people not to share these or speculate about what happened.

“However, if anyone does have information which they believe could assist then they should call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting Log 222 of yesterday (May 1).”
