ANTON Rotary Club welcomed visitors for its first ever motoring event over the Bank Holiday weekend.

More than 80 vehicles, from classic cars to modern motorcycles, were on display at the Anton Rotary Club Car and Motorcycle show, held at Weyhill’s car boot showground, on Monday.

The event was held to raise funds for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice, in Andover, and thanks to the generosity of visitors and exhibitors, more than £650 was raised for the charity.

A club committee, led by Richard Vaughan, planned and gathered the scores of cars at the show, in addition to a number of motorbikes and stallholders.

Vehicle owners were then given the opportunity to showcase their pride and joy, with awards given out for best kept vehicle, best modified vehicle, best kept motorcycle and best in show.

Anton Rotary Club has extended its thanks to all exhibitors who took part, everyone who was kind enough to donate on the day and Graham North, the owner of the show site.
