MAGISTRATES have jailed an Andover man who attacked a police officer.
Kyle Bone, of Bell Road, pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on May 22 to assaulting an emergency worker.
The incident happened on May 20 and the court heard that the 26-year-old spat at the officer.
In sentencing, magistrates jailed Bone for two weeks because of the seriousness of the offence and that it was committed whilst he was on license.
Bone was also ordered to pay £115 compensation.
