THERE was a hat-trick of wins for much-loved local businesses.

Three companies, two in Andover and one in Whitchurch, were crowned winners in The Muddy Stilettos Awards 2019, covering Hampshire and the Isle of Wight after thousands of customers cast votes.

One of those was Finkley Down Farm, which succeeded in being crowned Best Attraction for the third year in a row, against stronger competition as this year the area was expanded to include the Isle of Wight for the first time.

Owner Charlie Waters said: “We are very pleased to complete a hat-trick of wins. We were surprised to win it again, grateful to everyone who voted for us. Pleased we have managed to continue in the same vain with the improvements we made to the farm, we are obviously doing something right.”

Also celebrating is Salon 73, on East Portway, owned by Vanessa Clearly, which walked away with Best Salon for the second time.

And in Whitchurch Penelope Davies was voted the Best Yoga / Pilates Instructor.

Yoga teacher Penelope said: "I am obviously really ecstatic about winning. I have been running my business for four years so to get this recognition I am super chuffed."

There were a number of businesses in Andover which were shortlisted, including Wessex Spirits, Janet Mary Floral Design, Just Teasin, La di Da, Jewellery Moves, The Lights, Imogen Redman Pilates, and Escape & Retreat at Frenches Farm.

An awards ceremony will take place next week.
