THROUGHOUT May, Andover Advertiser Camera Club members have been snapping away on the monthly theme and we have another amazing batch for you to enjoy.

This time, the theme was “timing” — as members of the club members mastered getting a marvellous shot at the right moment.

Among them is a stellar collection of bird pictures including a kingfisher devouring her lunch and a robin snapped landing on a hand.

There was also a beautiful set of pictures taken of a group of cygnets and their mother at Anton Lakes.

Aside from beautiful birds, pictures also depicted a plane taking off at Popham Airfield, action from Thruxton Circuit and a glimpse of a rainbow through the clouds.

Scores of pictures were posted to the group on the theme with plenty of interaction between members providing feedback.

The theme for June is ‘framing’, so members are encouraged to use elements of the scene to create the perfect framing.

Anyone can join our dedicated Facebook group where members can share their best snaps and tips, get feedback and ask for advice.

Our competition will have a different theme each month, and we would love you to suggest some ideas for what you would like to see as well.

There will be a £25 prize for the themed contest winner, and the chance to get tips and advice from professional photographers.

Send us scenic pictures, weather shots or wildlife images — even snaps of your pets — all we ask is they are specific to our circulation area.

We run regular spreads of members’ work in the paper and online, with full credits in the captions accompanying all of the images used.

All we ask is that you provide a brief description of what the picture depicts, plus where and when the image was taken.

To join the club and find out the next theme is, search for ‘Andover Advertiser Camera Club’ on Facebook and click ‘join’ to take part.
