AN ANDOVER man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 30-year-old woman.
Shaun Dyson appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court today (Wednesday) for a first hearing following the death of Lucy-Anne Rushton at a house in Suffolk Road on Sunday.
At 5.30am that day, officers were called to the home where Ms Rushton was found injured and was later pronounced dead.
Mr Dyson, who gave his address in court as Suffolk Road, was arrested on Sunday evening before being charged with the murder of Ms Rushden yesterday.
The 28-year-old appeared before magistrates wearing a checked shirt and black jeans, speaking only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
Magistrates Janice Gabriel referred the case to Winchester Crown Court for a hearing on Friday (June 29).
Mr Dyson was remanded back into custody.
