ONE of Andover’s largest employers is helping more people in the town develop their career with the launch of an apprenticeship programme.
Health plans provider Simplyhealth is aiming to support people to enter the workforce or develop their career at the company with the introduction of its new initiative. The business currently supports 11 of its colleagues with apprenticeship roles ranging from IT, management, customer services and finance.
The programme is part of its #FindYourFuture campaign along with sponsoring Andover railway station, which aims to support the local job market.
Sarah Greenaway, head of community impact, said: “Andover is a great place to work and around 700 of our colleagues work here with many of them living locally too.
“We know that thriving communities make a great place to live and so we are committed to supporting colleagues, our customers and the wider community.”
