SIX people were involved in a collision at a junction between two cars and a van near Sutton Scotney this morning.

No one was seriously hurt but one man was taken to hospital with minor facial injuries.

Police had been called at 10am with reports of a collision on the A30 at the junction of the A272 involving an Audi A3, Vauxhall Vivaro and Renault Clio.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) was also notified, with the caller informing them that “a number of people were trapped in their vehicles”.

There were three uninjured people in the van who did not require assistance.

In the first vehicle, one person was treated for minor injuries at the scene, and in the second, a man was assessed and treated for minor facial injuries at Salisbury District Hospital.

His partner, who was also in the car, accompanied him to the hospital but was not injured.

In total, two ambulances, one rapid response vehicle, the Hazardous Area Response Team and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance reported to the scene.

The man with minor facial injuries was taken to Salisbury District Hospital by road.
