A HOUSE in Ludgershall was ransacked yesterday and a large amount of items were stolen.

At some point between 11:30 am and 1 pm on Thursday, July 4, a house near New Drove which is off of Astor Crescent was broken into.

The offender, or offenders, ransacked the house and stole a large amount of items including:

  • Ladies Gucci watch
  • Solid silver chain charm bracelet
  • Ladies watch with silver surround on face and black strap (circa 1936)
  • Pearls
  • Red Jewellery box
  • Two Men's gold Signet rings
  • Silver locket on a chain
  • Several gold sovereigns
  • Silver Crowns and £5 coins

Police believe that a bright yellow bag may have been used to carry away items.

PC Andy Morgan said: "Coming home to find their property in this state and personal items stolen was very upsetting for the victims and they are understandably distraught.

"Our investigation is underway and our enquiries are ongoing in the area but we need to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity, people or vehicles in the Ludgershall area yesterday during the day time.

"The smallest piece of information may lead us to those responsible and help prevent anyone else from having their homes broken into and possessions stolen.

"We also want to hear from anyone who has been offered items such as those listed for sale."

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Andy Morgan on 101 quoting reference 54190064914.
