FAMILIES from Tidworth and beyond came together to celebrate what the town had to offer on Saturday.

Tidworth Town Festival took place on the community centre field, with a variety a fun to be had throughout the day.

On the main stage, sponsored by Wilmont Building Services, there was a line-up to entertain young and old including the Decibelles and Whistles and the Military Wives Choir, with Show Off Dance also performing their hard-worked routines.

And for the youngsters Les Bicyclettes showcased an unusual but side-splitting routine.

There was also a wide range of free activities for the the whole family including a free bouncy castle, circus workshop and rock climbing wall.

A mini big top hosted shows throughout the day, along with rope walkers, stilt walkers and balloon modellers to help keep the kids entertained.

Prizes were also given out for Tidworth in Bloom and Tidworth Photography Competition by mayor Councillor Brian Pratt, with the winners receiving cheques and cups for their achievements.

Castledown Radio were onhand to to cover the event live, with running commentary throughout the day.

For those who wanted to enjoy a bit to eat or a drink under the summer sun there were a range of food vendors and a bar, along with face painting and rock climbing for children to enjoy.
