TOMMORROW'S Four Fun Friday's event has been cancelled due to severe weather warnings.
The Met Office has forecast heavy rain across Andover tomorrow, leaving organisers with no choice but to call the popular event off.
A spokesman for Test Valley Borough Council broke the news this afternoon to Facebook: "Due to weather warnings in place in the Andover area and forecasts of lightning and high winds for tomorrow, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s event in view of the possible risks to the safety of all involved."
The council said it would try and postpone the event for Friday, August 30 if the artists were still available.
The Four Fun Fridays is a summer family festival which sees the town's High Street transformed from 11am to 3pm with a host of activities.
The idea behind the event is to help keep children and parents entertained for free during the summer months.
Last year saw art installations, street theatre groups, creative workshops and performances descend on the town.
The project is been funded by the council.
